“He told me he loved me but was not in love with me anymore. I was so heartbroken because I loved him and was all in. I didn’t know how to let go and I still don’t. He abandoned me and started showing interest in other women. I feel so insecure and confused. All I wanted was his attention and love. I didn’t ask for much. I don’t believe in love anymore. I’m sick of feeling hurt and betrayed by people that ‘love’ me. I associate love with pain and I don’t know how to have a positive, happy outlook on relationships or live anymore.”

Becoming cynical about love is one of the saddest things that can ever happen to you in life.
It means cutting yourself off from the source of life.
And believe me … I’ve seen people doing that, and you don’t want to end up there.
But the good news is that it’s not a one-way street, you can always turn back.
Maybe you’ve been disappointed again and again, even though you always gave all you’ve got. You still ended up hurt and alone.
It’s time to break that cycle.
One tip that I can give you is to step back and take some time for yourself and use this time to get to know yourself a little better.
People who make this kind of negative relationship experiences are always in the loop: they go from negative relationship to negative relationship.
They are driven by the overwhelming fear of being alone.
And I admit that I was one of them.
But the only way to break free is to face this scary loneliness.
It took me so long to finally do that, and I wasted years of my life.
The point is, love is not at fault … love is pure, innocent and sublime.
It’s we who tend to corrupt it by attracting the wrong partners.
And the process of attracting the RIGHT partners start with the self-discovery process after your breakup.
That’s when I found out WHAT I really want in a partner and why I was always attracting the wrong ones.
