“If you really want to do something, you’ll find a way. If you don’t, you’ll find an excuse.”
― Jim Rohn
What is YOUR excuse not to start your recovery?
Is it because you love him/her so much?
Because your relationship was something special?
Or maybe because once you commit to your recovery with everything that comes with it, you’ll lose them for good?
It’s probably one of those.
But let me tell you, all of these are NOT valid reasons … even if they feel compelling to you.
These are excuses.
And an excuse is by definition “a reason put forward to conceal the real reason for an action”.
So what is the real reason why you haven’t started yet?
I want you to really think about what the answer is because this is the very thing that is holding you back in all areas of your life.
What is the reason?
Or maybe you are saying, I’ve started already …
“I’m not seeing my Ex anymore.”
or …
“I haven’t heard from my Ex in a long time.”
That’s a start, but …
- Have you consciously started your recovery?
- Have you taken your power back?
- Are you following the rules of No-Contact strictly?
- Have you started to reconnect with your true self?
And all the other things that lead to a lasting recovery where you CHANGE your life instead of putting a band-aid on your wound.
No excuse justifies NOT to get started today.
Not your Ex, not your friends, not your job.
YOU.
And only YOU can put in the work and turn things around.
Your friend and coach,
